This is a nutritious recipe that takes less than 5 minutes to prepare from start to finish! Since the flavors can mingle together, the dish is even better the next day. Just pack it in a container and take it for lunch or serve it for a cold dinner.

Or you can choose already cut and washed kale or mustard greens. If fresh avocados are hard to come by where you are, just use frozen ones. They are already peeled and halved, and the pits are removed. 

This recipe makes a good side dish or base for a salad. If you want to turn it into a main course, just add some protein. Keep it vegan with seasoned tofu, or make it a superfood with pan-seared salmon. Or, just top it with leftover cooked skinless chicken for an easy, satisfying, keto-friendly meal.

Recipe for Keto Kelp Noodles with Avocado Miso Dressing

Makes 4 servings

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons of miso
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and minced
  • (Optional) 1 packet of low-calorie sugar substitute, such as stevia or monkfruit
  • (Optional) ¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 package of Sea Tangle Noodle Company Kelp Noodles 
  • 1 tablespoon on finely diced green onion 
  • ½ cup of grated or shredded carrots
  • ½ cup of grated daikon
  • ½ cup of shredded red cabbage
  • (Optional) 2 tablespoons of toasted slivered almonds


  1. Add the avocado, miso, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, toasted sesame seeds, and garlic well to a food processor. Blend well.
  2. Mix the Sea Tangle Noodle Company Kelp Noodles, green onion, carrots, daikon, and red cabbage in a bowl.
  3. Pour the avocado dressing onto the salad and mix it. 
  4. Plate the salad. Add the almonds, if using them, and serve. Enjoy!
